Under North Carolina ABC regulations, alcohol must be purchased directly by the event host rather than by the bar service. Lil' Brew Bird operates under this dry hire model — we provide the vintage tap trailer, professional bartenders, equipment, and service, while you purchase the alcohol separately at retail with no markup. What types of beverages can be served on tap?

We can serve local craft beer, wine, prosecco, hard seltzer, signature cocktails, mocktails, and craft soda on tap. We work with you during planning to build a custom beverage menu that fits your event and guests.

Do you provide bartenders with the tap trailer rental?

We offer two levels of service. The Vintage Tap Trailer Rental includes the trailer and an attendant to keep taps flowing, while the Tap Trailer and Bartending Service includes certified professional bartenders providing full bottle service. Are your bartenders certified?

Yes. All of our bartenders have completed Responsible Alcohol Server Training through the NC ABC Commission. We are also fully insured with liquor liability insurance.

How far in advance should I book?

Do you travel outside of the Triangle area?

Yes. While our home market is the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Triangle, we regularly serve events across Central North Carolina including Burlington, Greensboro, Mebane, and surrounding areas. Travel fees may apply for events outside our standard service area.

Can you serve cocktails on tap?

Yes. Batch cocktails on tap are one of our most popular options. We can put margaritas, sangria, mojitos, and other cocktails on tap so guests can pour their own drinks straight from the trailer. We work with you to build the recipe and you provide the spirits under NC dry hire rules.

What is the minimum guest count for your services?

We work with events of 50 to 250 guests. Our $1,200 minimum spend applies regardless of guest count.

Do you work with wedding venues in the Triangle?

Yes. We are experienced working with wedding venues across Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh. We coordinate directly with venue staff for setup, service, and breakdown. For venues where the tap trailer cannot access, we offer a portable bar setup that provides the same professional service.
